How come I can’t run Aion well with any shader levels on?

( 15 FPS on the 4th bar. )

Hello, since two days I’m having this problem : When i launch the launcher it gives me Error Update
”There is either a problem with your internet connection, or the update server is currently down. You may retry or skip the update.”

The only way for me to play is to Skip/Force launch. At the moment I don’t really care as there is no update , but as soon as there are any I’m kinda screwd.

I also noticed that I cannot check this page no more Aion™ Online :: Server Statistics which is the character info of the players online. It gives me an error page with both Mozzilla and IE.

Every other page, and I mean every… Is working perfectly with no problems at all.

If someone could help, really appreciated.

Just getting back into aion never had problems before when i played back in december but now i am,
i can log in fine, get past user agreement fine, see my characters, but when i select a character to go in game aion crashed and i get:

i’ve looked everywhere on google and nothing helps, can anyone help me fix it?

I’ve stopped playing some time ago ( 2-3 month ) but now I want to come back..

I’ve payed my account.. updated the game..

I enter the gae again. type in my acc info ==> acc name and password don’t match

eeeh I type it wrong. I try again ==> same

and same for the next 100 time I try to leg

I’ve changed my password .. try to log ==> same

Please if u know a solution let me know

Bought a Razer Diamondback 3G to run on W7-64 bit. In non game use it performs just fine, however in Aion the scroll wheel/centre button seems to have problems. Tried diferent settings on the mouse configuration screen but I can not make the zoom function work with the scroll wheel, or the reverse view with the centre button click. I treid both the dirvers which came on the disk and downloaded the specific Windows 7 drivers from the Razer site. No problems with the little Microsoft ‘ intelimouse’, everything works.
I have contacted Razer to see if there is something I can do or am not doing to resolve this issue. Are there any known issues with this particular mouse in Aion, I have seen people posting posative results using this mouse with this game so I’m thinking it might just be my installation.

30 min ago i log out, and now when i wanna log in, game dont work.

updater/website/game is down.

i reseted my internet, reseted PC, i used repair and still dont work.

So lately I’ve been rubberbanding a lot it seems…doesn’t bother me too much, but try to pull the wine room in SR and you’ll end up screaming at your modem.

I’m trying to narrow it down to Aion servers or my internet connection, have a cable connection at up to 12mbps, there is a package to upgrade for up to 20mbps for like $19 more a month.

It’s late/early.. So I’ll keep this brief. I just got my 7680×1600 setup done recently and decided to play during the double XP weekend. Here are some notes/questions:

Without getting in to too much detail:
i7 920
12 GB Ram
ATI 5970 (I overclocked a bit to core/mem 775/1100 but the effect was negligable beyond the graphical tweaks)
Catalyst 10.3 + 10.2 App profiles + bezel management (@~8020×1600)

Water Slider is mid.
Texture Slider is Maxed.
All other are 4/5
2xAA + 16AF

typcial: min 40 max 130. Ave 60-70 fps. (vsync off)

Crossfire: I twiddled away here (using the application profiles) and managed to get some utilization on the second card (according to gpu-z), but didn’t bother much once I got stable framerates. I did notice a slight FPS increase w/ CF enabled ~20fps so most my testing was with it on (Catalyst A.I. = standard). I’m going to revisit this tomorrow/today (ugh, it’s late).

I did a lot of messing around with the graphical settings both in the menus and in the console.
A few notes:

-Max water quality kills framerate (pretty well known)
-"\e_fog 0" is an absolute must – having the fog on destroys fps.
-"\e_particles_max_count [300-500]" gets rid of the poorly done volumetric #@$%#/fog that kills fps. Setting this too low will remove spell effects. This helps a LOT with multiple people on the screen as well.
-Don’t use high resolution skybox. This has to be turned on in the console/system.ovr so most people wont be using it. At the max resolutions, it makes the abyss nigh unplayable.
-Playing at 3x 1680×1050 was ridiculously smooth at max settings.
-80FPS @ 7860×1600 eyefinity "feels" less smooth than 80FPS @ 2560×1600 regardless of what fraps may say. Trying to figure this out still. Theory is that it’s related to the CF mode I hacked up.
-Crossfire and amBX is still broken. Don’t even bother.

Not really Aion related:
-When overclocking the 5970 my right monitor would flicker whenever the clocks switched from 2d to 3d. Not a big problem while gaming, but on the desktop you have to force the clocks by editing a profile’s xml file.

Still trying to figure out:

-TERRAIN LOADING. This is particularly annoying in Theobomos. Whenever the level of detail on the terrain kicks up/down I get a hiccup. I’m thinking this may be CPU related as it’s usually accompanied by input/camera lag and occurs at every resolution. This will be my next tackle. I’m really worried this may be texture memory related as well (although turning off AA/AF and lowering texture detail doesn’t seem to affect it. Looking for advice.

at the moment there’s always the message "name and password don’t match" when I try to log in my Aion-Account. The second time it works, but name and pw were the same like before.

Hey, Well i pretty much need help with connecting my router to the internet – why can things ever just work?

Firstly i have bigpond cable internet and im using the supplied Motorola SGB900 modem and to be honest im sick and tired of it dropping out when using programs such as uTorrent over wireless so i went out today and got a D-Link Wireless N router DIR-615.

I’ve tried putting the CD in and doing the installation but it doesn’t connect it to the internet, firstly it asks us for our current routers login, (i didnt think the motorola was a router, but i put the info to get into our motorola modem properties in there presuming thats what it ment) kept saying it wasn’t correct but it was, so we just check the box to continue without that.

We get up to where it wants us to power up the router and connect it to the modem and it does fine, but when it goes to determine the internet connection it keeps failing then asks us what kind of internet connection we have, i select cable and it says it cannot find internet again, then lets us continue anyway setting up the wireless password etc which is useless anyway since it doesn’t have a connection to send out.

So i went on anyway and then went into the new Dlink router properties where it has a quck connection setup, i went though that, it asked for timezone etc then asked to select a service provider, of course bigpond isnt there so i choose other provider and then i have to choose all these options and i choose the one with dynamic ip or whatever which says is most common for cable internet, then tells me to clone the PC’s MAC address that was previously connected and setup for the Motorola, it changed it to that, saved it and it told us to reset router and it should work but still no connection…

Please is someone would help with some suggestions i would very much appreciate it

back in 2009, I was playing Aion without any problems at all. The first time I installed the game, it worked fine.
Then, around late January 19th I went back to school (winter break was over) and I stopped playing for a while because of exams and such Since I hadn’t been playing, I didn’t bother to update the game.

Then, my laptop got a virus (non-related to Aion) I had to get it fixed and in the process of doing so I lost all of my computer programs. So, I re-downloaded Aion, but whenever I tried to launch it, it stopped at the part where you get the NC logo and said that the program was not responding.

Just last week i got a new hard drive (old one had been damaged for a long time and it was had finally gotten to the point where I could not even use my laptop) and I re-downloaded the game hoping that maybe the new hard drive would let the game run, but it still gives me the ‘this program has stopped responding’ pop up.

I ran the Can You Runt It? And my computer can run it. Before the game stopped working, I used to play on max settings, and the game ran great. So, I don’t know know why this is happening now, help?

I’m no computer expert so bear with me please.

I’m on Spatalos and have been playing the game for about 2 weeks with no problems other than maybe a disconnect from server once or twice a night.

My PC is new, running Windows 7. Internet speed is about 1.8 Mb at best but the game has been very playable until last night.

Last night I had a disconnect and since then I am unable to play.

This is what happens:

I log in (sequence takes a little longer than usual)
My character takes slight longer to appear once I select it from the character selection screen. Shortly before I go in game, the character selection screen freezes a bit and I notice the character says level ????

In game, I have about 2 seconds of normal activity and then the toon starts to blink (fade in/out). All interactivity with the world then gradually gets even worse to the point where I can’t do anything. It’s like the world’s worst lag spike.

I tried a different server last night thinking it might resolve it by this morning – this morning all servers act the same.

I have posted a message to NCSoft help as I can’t even do an in-game petition.

Any ideas?

Also, Ive made some toons over 2 weeks ago and played them daily, and they wont show up on the character search, and neither will my wifes and friends. Any help on either? Maybe the armory just updates once a month, haha. ."

When I try to launch Aion I get these 2 errors…:cry:

C:\Windows/system32/d3dx9_38.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
The second one says the following :
CRITICAL ERROR: Error loading DLL:XRenderD3D9.dll error code 193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

Reinstalling Aion does not work. I use windows 7 64bit
